The Three Company Lists

  • Client - organizations you do project work for and invoice.

  • Vendor - organizations you pay, such as subconsultants, used for expense tracking.

  • Other Companies - any other organization you want to associate contacts with, without it being a client or vendor.

A company record itself just has a name. Address, phone, and email live on individual Contacts linked to that company, not on the company record itself.

Linking to QuickBooks Online

  • Client records show their linked QuickBooks Customer here, but the link itself is set from the project's Overview tab, not this page.

  • Vendor records can be linked to a QuickBooks Vendor directly from this page.

  • Other Companies have no QuickBooks link.

Linking Contacts to Companies

Each Contact can be associated with one Client, Vendor, or Other Company. See Managing Clients and Contacts for how to add and edit contacts.
