Adding Project Links to a Project

Project Links, on a project's Overview tab, let you keep a running list of named links to the project's external materials - a OneDrive or SharePoint folder, a contract, a spec set, or anything else that lives outside Factor.

Adding a Link

  1. Go to PROJECTS > select a project > the Overview tab.

  2. In the Project Links section, click Add.

  3. Enter a Label (what to call the link) and the URL.

  4. Click Save.

If you don't include http:// or https:// in the URL, Factor adds https:// automatically when the link is opened.

Using a Link

Click any link to open it in a new tab. Hovering over a link shows the full URL. Links are listed in the order they were added.

Editing and Deleting Links

Anyone with permission to modify the project's overview can edit or delete a link. Once a project is no longer active, links stay visible and clickable, but the edit and delete controls are no longer available.

Permissions

Viewing Project Links requires the View Project Overview permission. Adding, editing, or deleting a link requires Modify Project Overview.
